Is my donation tax deductible?
The Foundation is applying to the Australian Taxation Office for endorsement of the Education for Leadership Fund as a deductible gift recipient (DGR). Until this endorsement is received, gifts to the Education for Leadership fund are not tax-deductible. The Formation for Leadership Fund is not eligible for DGR endorsement and gifts to this fund are not tax-deductible.
How is my gift used?
Gifts are applied to one of the Foundation’s two funds. The Education for Leadership fund provides scholarships, bursaries and prizes for young people in formal study in Australia. The Formation for Leadership fund provides scholarships and other funding for formation and leadership development in short-course and informal formats, and for university study overseas. The board oversees and approves every award and supporters are informed about how their gifts are applied.
Can I direct my gift to a particular purpose?
Yes. You can direct your gift to either fund — Education for Leadership, for formal study in Australia, or Formation for Leadership, for informal and short-course formation programs and leadership development and overseas study. Supporters can also fund a named scholarship or prize. Talk to us about what you would like your gift to achieve.
Who can apply for support?
Young Australians in formal secondary or tertiary study in Australia can apply to the Education for Leadership fund. Young people undertaking formation or leadership development in short-course or informal formats, in Australia or overseas, or university study overseas, can apply to the Formation for Leadership fund. Schools, parishes and community organisations are welcome to enquire on behalf of young people.
