The Cardinal Pell Foundation provides scholarships, bursaries and other funding to help young Australians undertake courses of study and formation programs.
This support is provided through two funds.
Scholarships, bursaries and prizes for young Australians in formal courses of study at secondary schools and tertiary institutions in Australia. The Foundation is applying to the Australian Taxation Office for endorsement of this fund as a Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR). Until this endorsement is received, gifts to the Education for Leadership fund are not tax-deductible.
Scholarships and other funding for young Australians undertaking formation and leadership development in short-course and informal formats, in Australia and overseas, and for university study overseas. This fund is not eligible for endorsement as a DGR and donations to the Formation for Leadership Fund are not tax-deductible.
The Foundation is guided by four commitments in supporting education and formation opportunities for young people:
